Plitvice Lakes

Picture
Plitviče Lakes National Park is a 295-sq.-km forest reserve in central Croatia. It's known for a chain of 16 terraced lakes, joined by waterfalls, that extend into a limestone canyon. Walkways and hiking trails wind around and across the water, and an electric boat links the 12 upper and 4 lower lakes.

The Historical South
FAM (Familiarization) Tour

I was scheduled to start tours of the "Historical South," but my tour operator didn't offer FAM tours for new tour assignments. I piggy-backed with my friend and colleague, Deby Dahlgren, to visit as many sites as we could that were on our itineraries.

St. Augustine, Florida

My tour would be going on to St. Augustine, Florida, and Deby's group would be going to Atlanta, so we divided up and I went south and Deby went west. It is much easier to take photos on a FAM tour than when you are working!

Chicago
